Recently, Cadena SER journalist Javier Herráez discussed whether Kylian Mbappé would feature in the upcoming El Clásico and evaluated Real Madrid's recent form on the radio program El Larguero.

When asked if Mbappé would play in El Clásico, Herráez said: “I have many doubts. If you ask me now, I don't think he will play. He will undergo a fitness test on Wednesday to assess his physical condition, but I believe Álvaro Arbeloa... I was going to say he has almost ruled Mbappé out entirely, though that might be a bit strong, but that's roughly the situation.”

Discussing Mbappé's recent performances and attitude, he continued: “I wouldn't attribute all of Real Madrid's problems to Mbappé, because that's not true. But it's clear that he's not in his best form, or perhaps he's not ready yet. I think if you listen to Mbappé's statements at press conferences or watch his performances in the mixed zone, he always expresses himself appropriately and speaks comprehensively. In contrast, Vinícius Júnior is the one more likely to create controversies.”

Herráez then addressed Real Madrid's situation in the final stage of the season: “At the final stage of the season, the team should have stepped up their efforts. Not for any other reason, but because Real Madrid still has its honor to uphold, which is very important. But the league title was actually decided a long time ago. For me, Real Madrid lost the league even from the away match against Osasuna. Of course, this might be an exaggeration, but I think Real Madrid played very sluggishly that day and dropped 3 points. Then there were matches against Mallorca, Getafe, and others. Now the World Cup is coming, the league is gone, and the Champions League is gone. You can't say the team has completely relaxed, but the feeling is definitely different.”

When talking about other players' performances, he said: “Yesterday Vinícius carried the team on his shoulders. I really like Jude Bellingham, very much. As for Gonzalo, I don't know how much extra he can bring to the team.”

However, Herráez did acknowledge Gonzalo's attitude: “Yes, whether he plays 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 38 minutes, or half the game, he always gets the job done, always does positive things, and always adds value to the team. This is true whether Arbeloa uses him, Xabi Alonso uses him, or any other coach fields him.”
